(7.45 am)
I train myself in getting up earlier these days, because my written exam on saturday starts at the time I normally get up (9 am). Last time, I just went from getting up at 9 am to getting up at half past seven on the day of the exam (Germanistik) and my body (especially my stomach) didn’t like that at all. So since Sunday I get up 15 minutes earlier each day and it seems to work quite ok. Daniel does not have to do this, so I let him sleep a little longer and settle in for my little private morning routine: I cook some tea, prepare a little bowl of rolled oats with delicious strawberry joghurt my parents brought us from Sweden, and cuddle myself up on the sofa. Faithful companions: my laptop, my knitting, and my favourite blanket (a very cuddly and soft fleece blanket (also from Sweden) I got as a birthday present from dear friends some years ago). I like these mornings. They usually end with breakfast together with Daniel. I can’t think of a better ending :-)
(9.30am)
In full granny mode, here an update on my health (because you asked for it, dind’t you? ;-): After days of trying out various home remedies (Ginger tea, two blankets when sleeping, Gelomyrtol (vast amounts), tea in general and so on) I carved in yesterday and went to the doctor to get something serious against my sinus infection which had obviously decided to stay with me for a bit longer. As I have a record of waiting too long for a trip to the doctor and carrying this thing around with me for several (read: six) weeks, I took no chances this time. I argue that I have to be remotely fit for my exams :-) So now, I take enormous pills two times a day. And by enormous, I mean enormous. Check it out:
I know, I am kind of crazy for taking a picture like this, but I like it. It has a certain aesthetic value, hasn’t it? ;-)
I hope you are all healthy (unlike me, but help is on the way), and (like me) perhaps a little bit crazy, too (makes life rather enjoyable and colourful, I can assure you!).
hi girlie, now i want to write you something in this language. Its a nice practise for me, to read something in englisch, because i did a decision, a few weeks ago. I want to learn a better englisch. I know, there are still some misstakes. surely they are. But, thats the way, learning works, isn´t it? try and error :-)
i watch my lovely Gilmore Girls films in englisch with german subtitels. Vera told me, to watch it without them, but the girls in this soap speak quiet fast!! oh yes. so its not to easy to listen without a little help.
Hey nice picture. The last one, i mean. Your morning routine sounds great.
Today, mum woke me up at 6.15 to show me the present, she got from daddy to theire silverweddingday. I went down with her and she unpacked her present. I think, its more friendly, when she can tell by herself. the point is, i woke up at 6.15! hello??? oh my god.
hm, so i decided to drive to my work by car. After work i want to visit cora in wentorf. Whit the subway it woud take more than an hour and about the way to home i won´t even talk about.
The drive through the city was a real adventure. I know, why i won´t do that every day. At every red traffic light i took a look into my map and get interrupted by tooting and screaming of some men whit very red faces.
Nooo, not realy. But it was exhausting!
My internet does not work, as i need it for working on our site, so I have to wait for the call of my computer programmer. In the time of waiting, i wrote a little text for our site and a mail to a confused friend :-) in half an hour i will go to our common lounge. Okay, after I have written this (ah verdammt, welche verganegnheitsform is das eigentlich), Djamilah will take a look and maybe she has some corrections for me.
Bye bye my lovely!
Lisa
aaach, ich schick es jetzt einfach so ab :-)))
