Handmade presents this Christmas, part I

For my dear mother in law, whom I asked: „Wenn dir jemand ganz theoretisch einen Schal zu Weihnachten stricken würde, welche Farbe sollte er dann haben?“ And her very quick answer: „Ein helles Türkis, heller als der andere, den du mir gestrickt hast“ (and which she still uses quite constantly :-)))

I found just the right yarn in the perfect colour at a new favourite yarn store. The pattern is Winterlong (to be found on Ravelry here, and a joy to knit). I changed it a bit to be a scarf rather than a cowl/loop, which makes it a bit more elegant, I think. Love the result and Anne does, too :-)
