The day of my written English exam is nearing, so I decided to write in English on Schwertfisch until it is over. Thus I hopefully will come in a „writing mood“ more easily when it is necessary :-) Surely I won’t write on a academic level here, but a little practice is always a good idea, isn’t it?
The last days Daniel and I were attacted and conquered by a cold, again. Fortunately this time it is „only“ a cold with sniffing, sneezing, a little bit coughing, and a lot of nose blowing but without any fever. When I (and Daniel, too) was ill the week before christmas I had fever at least three days in a row and felt quite miserable. Now I am perfectly able to spend the day out of bed and am even able to think :-) A real advantage. Viola told me yesterday that she fights colds with a „witch potion“, a tea made with fresh ginger, lemon juice and honey. As I love all ingredients, I started my „ginger treatment“ yesterday evening. It tastes good and certainly helps to free my airways :-) I took this recipe as my guidance, just to get an idea of the amount of ginger that should be used.
My week was (and still is) dominated by studying for the exam. I spent many hours in the library. Nevertheless, on thursday I took a break to look some hours after Amelie, as her Mama had a severe cold and needed a little rest. My favourite part was the little stroll I took with Amelie in the Stadtpark :-) The weather was fine, but man was it cold! I need a nice hat that I can wear in Hamburg. My ears nearly fell of from freezing. I could of course wear this one –
but thats my vacation and scout trip hat ;-)
Over the weekend I am alone at home, since my lovely husband is away on – surprise – a scout trip :-) I will study (what else?) and attend choir practice this afternoon. And I also plan to spent some time outside. Preferably when the sun is still shining.
Today’s pictures have nothing to do with the text, but only with the title :-)
Hi I’ve been a lurker on your blog for a while now – I really like reading about all the little adventures you go on. Just wanted to offer some encouragement and good luck for the English exam – your English in this post seems really good – certainly better than I’d be able to write in German! Hope it all goes well!
Dear Anna!
I like your photos very much, especially the frozen rose. Okay, my english… you know… is not perfect, but I write a little bit, too. I hope, you will be healthy fast and that you can write your english exam without a cold. And, of course, that you and Daniel will be able to enjoy the silver wedding ;) next saturday. My exams for this half year are already done, so I „just“ have to learn for my „Abitur“. It will be in 4 weeks ( 3 school weeks and one week for learning) at the 9th the 12th and the 13th of february!
Yours Eva
